A Pre-Christmas Update from Rob – The Hotel Will Open

We Will Open for Accommodation Only 24th – 26th December

Hello….(Hello…. Hello…. as my voice echoes around the empty Maynard…)

Rob here, again. Just here to say hello and let you know what we CAN do for you at The Maynard as our worst fears were confirmed. As John and Yoko sang about Christmas;

“Let’s hope it’s a good one, without any tiers."

Unfortunately our worst ‘tiers for fears’ were true and we remain in Tier 3 at a time when we should be celebrating delivering our first show-stopping Christmas to customers.

Hospitality is not a job, it is a way of life and my first Christmas day with family for six years will be extremely bittersweet. However, in true Maynard “let’s pull up our sleeves and get on with it" style, we are not letting that dishearten us. Our business will survive, we are inventive and adaptable despite very little financial support from the government. We are using this time to work on designing and building seven brand new hotel bedrooms. Take a sneak peek here.

Christmas at home with The Maynard

Not to be deterred, we are STILL bringing Christmas to you when you can’t come to us and have created the most exciting, delicious and delectable 5-course Christmas at Home menu. With ingredients sourced from local suppliers and free delivery to those shielding within 5 miles, let us take care of Christmas dinner for you.

Why wrangle your way around a supermarket when you can have Christmas dinner done for you, ready to be heated at home and enjoyed without the hours spent at the stove?!

Imagine how amazing it would be to actually spend time with the kids, opening the presents, playing with them (don’t forget to buy batteries!), and using your time on Christmas morning for family memories rather than tending to the turkey?

The deadlines to order our Christmas Day menu is Tuesday 22nd December at 3pm. Please order with your meal choices by email enjoymore@the-maynard.com

CHRISTMAS STOPOVER AT THE MAYNARD

In line with Government guidelines, we are able to open our hotel rooms from 24th – 26th December 2020.

Public areas such as the bar and restaurant will not be open but we are able to provide room service hot breakfasts and in the evenings we will be serving cold deli platters and room service beverages.

Our beautiful hotel bedrooms were renovated when we took over The Maynard so are the perfect place to rest if you are visiting family or exploring the Peak District this festive period.

Rooms are available from £99 and can be booked here.

Festive Afternoon Teas Until Christmas

Our festive afternoon tea menu will be available until and inclusive of Christmas Eve.

If you would like to order a festive afternoon tea or gift one to someone, email us to order enjoymore@the-maynard.com

GIFT VOUCHERS AVAILABLE

Talking of gifting, our gift vouchers are available in any denomination above £5 and can be posted to the recipient by us.

The last date for ordering gift vouchers in time for posting is midday on Monday 21st December.

Email enjoymore@the-maynard.com to order for postage or collection.

SEE YOU IN 2021

We wish you a happy, healthy and fun but low key Christmas this year.

Let’s make a promise to really make the most of 2021 (we can’t wait for Christmas next year to make up for 2020!).

May I take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our customers for your support and custom this year and to our hard-working, dedicated team thank you for being the best.

See you soon,

Rob Hattersley, managing director of The Maynard
