The time has come! We’re making history in Hathersage with the eagerly awaited re-opening of our sister venue, The George.
After a healthy sprinkling of Longbow magic, The George has a brand new look and we’re giddy with excitement to show it off.

With breakfast served as early as 8am, and dinner available until 9.30pm, food is never far away at The George – perfect if you’re re-fuelling for a busy day ahead or seeking comfort after a long walk in the Peaks.

Restored, re-furnished and re-opened! Our characterful yet contemporary bedrooms invite you to sink into comfort and get the peaceful night’s sleep you deserve.
Complete with modern amenities including flat screen TV, hairdryer and tea & coffee, you’ll definitely feel at home with us. We’ve even sneaked some cosy bathrobes into our superior rooms for guests to use – bliss!
A familiar face – Lord of the Manor
Whilst we know you’ll be grateful for the welcoming faces of our human team, we’re happy to accept that it’s really our Blue Roan Cocker, George, who will make you smile the most when you visit.
Needless to say, The George has undergone a full canine inspection, with George sniffing every corner and approving of the new furniture. He’s confident that your four-legged friends will love it as much as he does, and can’t wait to welcome them with fresh water and a Bonio.
