Well, all I can say is what a whirlwind of a month September was! We had a heatwave, a monsoon, and an opening weekend at our sister venue with a brand-new website! (more on that later). There is even more to look forward to in October thanks to the fantastic effort our great team have been putting in this month. With that said, I make no apologies for this update being just a little bit Christmassy… we are simply so excited to tell you what we have in store!

We have lots going on over the next couple of months too! Join us in the Chatsworth Suite for a delicious Sunday roast with live music from The Money on Sunday 10^th October and Sunday 14^th November. The hugely talented duo of Stav and Jake make the perfect accompaniment to fantastic locally-sourced food and great drinks. We have now announced our Festive Events at The Maynard, and bookings are open. We are making up for the lost time of last year (hopefully we won’t  have to mention the ‘C’ word ever again!), and we are putting on a brilliant show in typical Maynard fashion. Christmas will be here before you know it and we are building up to December with huge anticipation.

But before you book, let’s have a little look at what is going on…

The Chatsworth Suite is going to be incredibly popular in December and we’re wasting no time in getting started. On Thursday 2nd December, you can enjoy the wonderful experience that is Wines for Christmas with Hattersley Wines. It is basically what it says on the bottle, as you will be able to enjoy a delicious set menu (three courses!) and a range of up to six wines in collaboration with the experts from Hattersley Wines.

The fun doesn’t stop there… you can join the brilliant Oughtibridge Band on four dark midweek nights throughout December. You’ll get that real winter feeling with a hot pie and peas supper in the Chatsworth Suite. If you’re beginning to feel the cold of winter you just want to warm up with friends, this will be perfect for you. The music will have a real Christmas feel, and The Maynard will be dressed to impress to provide a truly festive experience! Join us on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th, Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th December.

Strictly Come Dancing started in September, but I have no doubt that we will be seeing some proper dance moves in the Chatsworth Suite over Christmas. I expect to see all our customers strutting their stuff to kickstart the weekend at our amazing festive party nights. With a live DJ and fantastic food from our festive menu, it will give you a real Christmas feeling… For anyone wanting to get into the Christmas spirit, look no further than booking with us on a Friday or Saturday night! The all-important dates are Friday 10th, Saturday 11th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th December.

No Christmas would be complete without an appearance from the hugely talented Grumpah band! Join us on Sunday 19th December for Sunday Lunch and enjoy the atmosphere and fun created by three superbly talented musicians.
