We are absolutely delighted to announce that two Longbow Bars & Restaurants venues, including The Maynard, have been shortlisted for awards in both the Derbyshire Times Business Excellence Awards 2021 and the RMC Media Westside & Southside Restaurant & Bar Awards 2021.
In the Derbyshire Times Business Excellence Awards 2021, Our managing director, Rob Hattersley, has been nominated for the Business Leader award for his tireless and innovative contribution to Longbow Bars & Restaurants and the industry as a whole over what has been a difficult past year for hospitality.
Our newly renovated sister venue, The George in Hathersage, has been nominated for the New Business Of The Year award in recognition for the amazing work that has been done and the success of the business since reopening in early September.
Our final award nomination in the Derbyshire Times Business Excellence Awards 2021 goes to The Maynard, for the Covid Response award. During lockdown, We provided NHS workers with takeaway food free of charge, whilst opening dialogue with the local MP to ask for more support and clarity for local businesses.
In addition to these, we have also picked up nominations in the RMC Media Westside & Southside Restaurant & Bar Awards 2021!
In the Best Contemporary category and the Restaurants in Hotels category, both The Maynard and our sister hotel The George have been nominated.
The George has also been shortlisted for the Best Newcomer award, with both venues competing for the Readers Choice award.
We’d like to thank every single member of our team for their endeavour, commitment and contribution over the past year, these nominations would not have been possible without them. We have our fingers crossed for the awards nights themselves!
We’d also like to wish good luck to all who have been shortlisted. It’s guaranteed to be a close competition with so many top quality establishments and venues vying for each award, and is representative of a local hospitality industry that is thriving and flourishing following the pandemic. We’re so proud to be a part of it all.
