The sun shone, the drinks flowed, the music entertained and all of the face-painted children were in their element – having the time of their lives on the numerous inflatables deployed in the top garden. A few adults enjoyed the bouncy castles, too!… following the roaring success of our Queen's Diamond Jubilee family fun day, we are are delighted to announce that we will be hosting another very similar event in the beautiful gardens at The Maynard on Sunday 28th August.
We felt that once simply wasn't enough, and there was still so much more fun to be had this summer. So we've decided to do it all over again – albeit without the jubilee theme, this time!
We are so excited, so without further ado, here's all of the details.
LIVE MUSIC RETURNS
Last time out, the talented Mark James and the sublime Oughtibridge Brass Band wowed the crowds with live music in our bandstand.
We are delighted that Mark will be back again, and will be joined by throughout the day by a whole host of talented performers.
There will be toe-tapping classics, singalongs and all of your favourites. Be sure to get here early to ensure you get the best spot!
INFLATABLES AND FACEPAINTING
Following the huge success and fun had by all last time in the top garden with our inflatables and games, we are delighted to confirm that these will return. Already confirmed are:
- Super Slide
- Ball Blast Shootout
- Camelot Bouncy Castle
- Rock 'N' Roll Gladiator Joust
- Space Hopper Race Track
We are also hoping to be able to provide face painting too, ensuring endless fun for children and adults alike!
OUTDOOR BARS AND BBQ
We are hoping the weather will be great again, as we will once more be providing an outdoor bar serving all of your favourite refreshing drinks to enjoy in the sunshine.
Head chef Greg will also be running his famous BBQ, serving delicious locally-sourced burgers, sausages, chicken and more.
Both were a huge hit last time round so be sure to give them a try when you get a bit of a thirst on, or start to feel a bit peckish!
THE PERFECT SUMMER SETTING
We’re certain there’s no better place to enjoy the last of the summer than at our fun day here at The Maynard.
With stunning views across our green and pleasant land, it's a great and fun-filled day out that last time left no one feeling disappointed.
