SNEAK PEEK OF OUR NEW SUMMER MENU
The sun is shining, the weather is sweet (sang Bob Marley) which means *drum roll please* it's time for a menu change to reflect the best of the summer season.
At The Maynard we are committed to delivering the best local produce from field to farm to fork for the freshest and most delicious dishes the Peak District has to offer.
Our executive chef for Longbow bars and restaurants, Adrian Gagea and head chef for The Maynard, Greg Robinson had cracked their creative culinary heads together to curate this latest taste sensation.
A JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD
It's fair to say that our new menu takes you on a pilgrimage of the palate as we move East to West with unforgettable flavours.
Expect your gustatory cells to be gushing (that's taste buds for the non-medical folk and those who didn't just Google that, like me!) as you move through some of the highlights of our summer menu which include;
- Nori monkfish tail served with poached cod cheeks, in a grapefruit & caper beurre blanc sauce, with pak choi and samphire (GF Pictured Above)
- Roasted pork belly porchetta stuffed with pork ragu and spinach, served with new potatoes, heritage tomatoes, shallot vinaigrette and tomato salsa (GF)
- Grilled harissa courgette topped with pulled BBQ mushrooms and jackfruit (Ve)
SUMMER SHARING PLATTERS
We've covered all culinary bases with our new sharing platters. Choose from;
- Charcuterie
- Greek summer plate
- Fish plate
- Plant-based platter
There is something for everyone to sample and nibble if sharing one of our platters as a starter, or how about enjoying outside as the sun sets over the breathtaking Hope Valley scenery?
