At The Maynard we know how important the wedding food is to your big day. We’re delighted to announce a couple of new additions to our wedding food offer to really bring the wow factor to your big day.
As ever, we are committed to local farms, butchers, fishmongers and artisan producers who create the best, quality Peak District produce. Our passion for local food is felt in every dish.
Sharing Boards
Instead of plated dishes served individually, the idea behind sharing boards is to cultivate connection over food. With this family-style way of eating everyone can tuck in and enjoy an array of tasty foods.
Sharing Boards for Social Interaction
Sharing boards encourage guests to interact and share food, fostering a more communal and social atmosphere. It helps break the ice and allows people to mingle more freely.
The Variety is Great
When you choose a sharing board for your wedding food, you can offer a variety of food options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Guests can choose what they like, making the dining experience more personalised. At The Maynard we have vegan and vegetarian options plus many gluten-free options too, making the food on the boards accessible to guests with specific dietary preferences.
They Look Amazing
Sharing boards are visually stunning and add to the visual appeal of the wedding reception. They can serve as a stunning centrepiece and contribute to the overall décor.
More Relaxed and Informal
Sharing boards create a relaxed and informal dining experience, which can make the event feel more intimate and enjoyable. This can be particularly beneficial for couples looking to break away from more traditional wedding styles.
Overall, sharing boards can enhance the wedding experience by combining practicality with a warm, inviting, and visually pleasing dining setup.

Personal Sized Pizzas for Evening Food
In addition to sharing boards, we are thrilled to be able to offer an outdoor woodfired pizza experience as an option for your evening food.
These personal-sized pizzas come in a variety of flavours including carne with meat toppings and funghi which features truffle mushrooms. They’re cooked to order and served in rustic style pizza boxes. It really is a tipsy treat at that point in the night where you’ve been having the best time of your life on the dancefloor.
