Kids will be delighted by the farmyard, where they can meet all sorts of friendly farmyard animals. There's also an exciting adventure playground to burn off energy, and the house often hosts family-friendly events. 

Don't miss the Chatsworth Country Fair held over the last weekend in August (August 30th-September 1st this year) for a fun-filled day with food stalls, crafts, demonstrations, and live music. Our very own executive chef, Adrian Gagea, will be cooking live at the show.

Rainy Day Rescue at Peak Adventure Play Centre

Sometimes the heavens open, but fear not! Peak Adventure in Rowsley is an indoor haven for energetic little ones. Soft play areas, slides, and climbing frames provide endless fun, while a cafe keeps parents fuelled with much-needed coffee.

If you're looking for a lively atmosphere, consider attending the Y Not Festival, held over the first weekend of August (August 2nd- 4th this year) near Matlock. This family-friendly festival features a mix of up-and-coming and established indie and rock bands.

For a more traditional agricultural experience, head to the Bakewell Show on the Tuesday after the August bank holiday weekend (August 27th this year). This show offers a chance to see a wide variety of livestock displays, competitions, food stalls, and entertainment.
