Introducing the Autumn Winter 2024 Menu at The Maynard

As the night draw in, the heating switches on, the fires get lit and the jumpers come out, it's time to change and reflect the seasons with our new menu.

This year's autumn/winter menu promises the hearty, cosy comforts of the Peak District's best produce, coupled with the culinary talent of group executive chef, Adrian Gagea and new head chef, Alex Jones who are both driving the team to make each seasonal menu better and better.

In this round-up we'll showcase some of the new, exciting and must-try dishes for you to sample this season.

Vegan and Gluten-Free Dishes

Plus, we've picked out some of our favourite vegan choices too that don't need to be reserved for only those who follow a plant-based diet. Our vegan dishes are delectable for all.

Gluten-free is an important focus for us too and we go the extra mile to make our dishes taste fantastic, whatever your dietary requirement.

The Starters

BBQ glazed pork belly, goat’s cheese & butterbean purée and tortilla crisps (Gluten-free).

Pan-fried scallops, Thai prawn rosti, sweet potato & lime coconut purée and coriander oil (Gluten-free).

Roasted harissa aubergine, vegan cheese, blood orange tahini dressing, sweet potato medallion with sage cream cheese and maple-roasted chilli fig (Gluten-free and vegan).

The Mains

Pan-fried duck breast, butternut squash purée, spiced duck rice cake, sautéed Pak choi & kale and blackberry duck sauce (Gluten-free)

Pan-fried sea bream, Bombay potatoes, onion Bhaji, butternut squash & coconut curry sauce and sautéed kale (Gluten-free)

Harissa roasted aubergine, chickpea & sweet potato tagine, spiced apricot, raisin & pomegranate quinoa salad and mint yoghurt (Vegan and gluten-free).

The Desserts

Spiced plum & almond tart, strawberry coulis, clementine crème fraiche or vanilla ice cream (Vegetarian).

Mango & dark chocolate mousse and passionfruit & coconut coulis (Gluten-free and vegan).

Grapefruit & stem ginger posset, blackberry compote and a homemade biscuit (Vegan and gluten-free available).
