The Maynard and sister venues The George Hathersage and The Ashford Arms are celebrating their pride of place on a brand new MONOPOLY: Peak District Edition game.

The Maynard is joining the ranks of some of the region’s most beloved landmarks and organisations on this very special version of one of the world’s best nostalgic and most-loved board games,

We absolutely love this exciting new way to celebrate the Peak District, but it also gives us the chance to be part of something truly special, showcasing our favourite local landmarks.

The official launch of the game took place at our sister venue, The George Hathersage. Mr Monopoly himself was on hand to meet pupils from Hathersage St Michaels C of E primary school, locals and staff from The George and Longbow Venues.

As part of the MONOPOLY game, The Maynard features on a Community Chest card, offering one lucky player an Afternoon Tea experience here at our venue. Of course, this is a fictitious prize as part of the game, but we do encourage you to try our delicious Afternoon Tea in real life!
