Snug Room
Our cosiest space. Perfect for solo travellers or short stopovers when you just want a really good bed, an en-suite shower, and all the essentials. Elite linen, Duck Island toiletries, Roastology coffee, Joe’s Tea and bottled Peak District spring water. Compact but stylish, it is everything you need and nothing you do not.
Standard Double
Classic and comfortable, these spacious rooms come with a king-sized bed you will want to snooze in long after checkout time. An en-suite bathroom stocked with luxury toiletries, premium tea and coffee, and plenty of space to unwind after a day exploring the Peaks.
Superior King or Twin
Need a little more room to stretch out? Our Superior rooms come with a superking bed or can be arranged as twins, just let us know. These en-suite beauties are a popular choice for walkers, friends on a getaway, or anyone who likes a little more space for their suitcase full of Peak District plans.
Family Room
Travelling with the whole crew? Our Family rooms are bigger again, with twin or double beds and the option of adding more for extra guests. An en-suite bathroom, luxury linen and toiletries, and premium tea and coffee mean everyone is comfortable whether you are coming back from Mam Tor with muddy boots or from Bakewell with armfuls of pudding.
Junior Suite
Perched on the second floor, the Junior Suite boasts stunning views across the Hope Valley. This one is for those special stays with a superking bed, large freestanding bath in the room, his and hers vanity units, dressing tables and a separate en-suite. Perfect for romantic breaks, milestone birthdays, or just treating yourself.
Sir Don Bradman Suite
Our grandest room with an enormous bay window that frames panoramic Peak District views, while the emperor bed guarantees the best night’s sleep you will have this year. There is a large freestanding bath in the room, a fireplace, dressing table, and separate en-suite. It is the ultimate Peak District escape.

Wake Up Hungry?
We take breakfast seriously. It is all included when you stay. Think hearty Derbyshire full breakfasts with New Close Farm sausages, black pudding and eggs any style. Or go lighter with smashed guacamole on toasted sourdough, smoked salmon muffins with cream cheese and dill, or gluten-free porridge with blueberries and maple syrup. There is something for everyone, including thoughtful plant-based options and plenty of gluten-free choices.
Food That Makes You Stay Longer
Our new summer menu celebrates the best local produce with dishes you actually want to eat. Start with cured salmon and tuna nori ballotine, our signature twice-baked cheese soufflé, or our goat’s cheese mousse bruschetta with heritage tomatoes. Mains range from the signature venison ravioli with creamy chorizo and sage sauce to vegan Thai green arancini with coconut and coriander sauce. And yes, we have a trio of Peak District miniature pies for those who simply cannot choose.
Desserts are no afterthought either. Think lemon and grapefruit brulée cheesecake that is vegan and gluten-free, or pistachio, stem ginger and lemongrass vegan posset with mango sorbet.
We cater for everyone including gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, the sweet-toothed and the savoury purist.
Drinks Worth the Trip Alone
Our drinks list is a bit of a personal passion project. Expect wines I have carefully chosen because they are simply too good not to share, from crisp Verdejo to bold Argentine Malbec. Our cocktails range from a very fine Bloody Mary to a refreshing Hedgerow Spritz. And of course, there is a solid selection of local ales, craft beers, and spirits including gins from right here in the Peak District like Shivering Mountain.

Bakewell Country Festival – 13 July 2025.
A fantastic day out with family activities, local food and drink. Our own Chef Greg Robinson will be there cooking for the crowds.
Chatsworth Country Fair – 29 to 31 August 2025.
Three full days of grand ring attractions, cooking masterclasses, vintage funfair, shopping and food stalls. Our Group Executive Chef Adrian Gagea will be cooking at this brilliant event.
