Tom Pearce, Derbyshire native and seasoned West End performer, in association with Longbow Venues proudly presents Stars of the West End – a dinner cabaret experience featuring five incredible West End stars performing iconic hits from Wicked, Les Misérables, Chicago, Cats and more.
A West End Experience in the Peak District
Held in our elegant Chatsworth Suite, this evening is more than a performance, it's an experience. Between musical numbers, our talented cast will share personal insights, backstage stories and theatrical banter from their journeys through the world of musical theatre.
Your stars for the evening
Anita Louise Combe
Adelaide-born Anita, who began her career as a ballet dancer, appeared in the original Australian cast of CATS and went on to appear as Peron's Mistress in EVITA and Cosette in Les Miserables, before moving to London in 1993 to appear in the original production of SUNSET BOULEVARD. She recreated the lead role of Betty Schaeffer in this show in the original Canadian production. On returning to London, she created the role of Stephanie in Arlene Phillips’ production of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER at the London Palladium before appearing as both Roxy AND Velma in the West End production of CHICAGO. Anita has played the role of Cassie in A CHORUS LINE in international productions and most recently played the lead role of Grizabella in the world tour of CATS.


Ben Goddard
Ben played the lead role of Judas in Gail Edward’s acclaimed production of JESUS CHRIS SUPERSTAR in both the UK and Germany before making creating the role of Del in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s premier of THE BEAUTIFUL GAME. This led to a long collaboration with his co-star, Hannah Waddingham, with whom he has appeared alongside in numerous concerts over the last 25 years. Other West End credits include THE MOUSETRAP, MURDEROUS INSTINCTS and notably creating the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. He also played this role in the first US tour of this show and also received a nomination for a What’s on Stage award. Ben also has a long association with Craig Revel Horwood after he was cast as Arnaud du Til in Craig’s productions of MARTIN GUERRE (Newbury) and as Joe Gillis in SUNSET BOULEVARD (West End). For the last few years they have been touring the UK together in Craig’s Autobiographical show.
Rebecca Trehearn
Rebecca comes to the Peaks having just completed a UK tour of NOEL & GERTIE (playing Gertrude Lawrence). In the West End she has played Queen in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s premier of CINDERELLA, Donna/Oolie in CITY OF ANGELS, Belle in A CHRISTMAS CAROL at The Old Vic, Molly in GHOST, as well as appearing in WE WILL ROCK YOU, ASPECTS OF LOVE AND DIRTY DANCING. Other UK theatre roles include Lilli/Kate in KISS ME KATE (Watermill, Newbury), Rebecca Hershkovitz in RAGS (Hope Mill Theatre) and Charity in SWEET CHARITY (Nottingham Playhouse; UK Theatre award, Best Performance in a Musical) Rebecca played Julie in SHOWBOAT at the Sheffield Crucible and then in the West End. For this performance she won the Lawrence Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical. For the last few years, Rebecca has starred as Cheryl in Pobol Y Cwm (BBC Wales).


Tim Walton
Tim, who began his professional career in South Africa (appearing in shows such as WEST SIDE STORY and THE KING AND I), has appeared in many West End Shows including STARLIGHT EXPRESS, MAMMA MIA (original cast), THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK (original cast), SOUTH PACIFIC, TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT (original cast), THE WOMAN IN WHITE, WICKED (original cast), LOVE NEVER DIES (original cast), MATILDA (original cast), KISS ME KATE, CITY OF ANGELS and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ill-fated STEPHEN WARD. In recent years, Tim has appeared in shows closer to home – playing Jack in RAGS (Hope Mill Theatre), Count Magnus in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (Buxton Festival) and Colonel Ricci in PASSION (Hope Mill) Tim has just returned from Paris where he appeared as Victor Garber in the hit musical TITANIQUE.
We are lucky to welcome Tim to the Maynard as he is currently appearing in TITANIQUE in the West End at the Criterion Theatre.
Tom Pearce
Over Haddon native Tom began his theatrical life as a part of Bakewell Youth Theatre before joining the National Youth Music Theatre. After touring with the NYMT production of WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND, Tom made his full professional debut in GUYS AND DOLLS before appearing (several times) in the London productions of LES MISERABLES, EYAM, PRIVATES ON PARADE, CHILDREN OF EDEN and the 1st national tour of the revival of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR where he played Jesus of Nazareth. The majority of Tom’s career has been as a session singer, providing vocals on over 400 major motion picture soundtracks along with albums for artists such as Adele, Robbie Williams, Katherine Jenkins, Take That, Russell Watson and Il Divo. Tom now runs Vocals Unlimited which supplies singers for major films, video games and recording artists. He mostly works as a conductor now and has recently conducted the soundtracks of PLANET OF THE APES and the acclaimed BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE.
