The performers behind the evening
Tom Pearce
Derbyshire native Tom Pearce began his theatrical career with Bakewell Youth Theatre before joining the National Youth Music Theatre. Following a tour with the NYMT production of Whistle Down the Wind, Tom made his professional debut in Guys and Dolls before appearing in London productions including Les Misérables, Eyam, Privates on Parade and Children of Eden.
He also toured nationally in the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, playing Jesus of Nazareth.
Much of Tom’s career has been spent as a session singer, providing vocals for more than 400 major motion picture soundtracks and recording with artists including Adele, Robbie Williams, Katherine Jenkins, Take That, Russell Watson and Il Divo.
Tom now runs Vocals Unlimited, supplying singers for major films, video games and recording artists, and works predominantly as a conductor. His recent credits include conducting the soundtracks for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
As the driving force behind our musical evenings at The Maynard, Tom brings together his passion for musical theatre, his wealth of industry experience and his love of sharing the stories behind the music.
Tim Walton
Tim began his career in South Africa before building an extensive West End career, appearing in original casts of Mamma Mia!, Wicked, Love Never Dies, Matilda and The Witches of Eastwick, alongside many other major productions.
More recently, Tim has appeared in Rags, A Little Night Music and Passion. Throughout 2025 and 2026, he has also appeared as Victor Garber in Titanique at Lido Paris and in the West End at the Criterion Theatre.
Sarah Eyden
We are thrilled to welcome back internationally acclaimed soprano Sarah Eyden. Sarah began her career with The Swingle Singers before becoming one of the UK’s leading session singers, with vocals featured on more than 450 film soundtracks, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games and Pirates of the Caribbean.
She has performed at Carnegie Hall, La Scala, the Royal Albert Hall and the BBC Proms, bringing an extraordinary blend of orchestral, film, musical theatre and jazz experience.
Jean McGlynn
We’re delighted to welcome Jean McGlynn back to The Maynard. Originally from Limerick, Jean trained at Mountview Academy and went on to perform in the West End in The Beautiful Game, The Witches of Eastwick, South Pacific and Les Misérables.
Jean has worked with some of theatre’s biggest names, including Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh and Trevor Nunn, and is also an accomplished theatre maker and arts facilitator, running Frontline Stage School in Ireland.
Sam Oladeinde
We’re delighted to welcome Sam Oladeinde to The Maynard for the first time. Sam most recently starred as Javert in the West End production of Les Misérables during its 40th Anniversary year, having previously played Aaron Burr in the original UK & Ireland tour of Hamilton and begun his career in the show’s original West End cast.
His credits also include Come From Away, The Prince of Egypt and The Book of Mormon, alongside screen work in Casualty, Doctors and Back to Black. Sam has also featured vocally on major films including Maestro, Barbie, The Little Mermaid and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
In 2025, he made his solo debut at the Royal Albert Hall during the Last Night of the Proms, performing Bohemian Rhapsody with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen. He returned to the Proms in 2026 for Enchanted: Alan Menken’s Music for Disney.
