Our bar is open from 8am every day, where we invite you to a hearty breakfast, lunch, after work drinks, evening meals or that much needed night-cap. We are huge dog fans and invite all of our guests’ four-legged friends in with a bowl of water, a treat and love and attention from our staff – but please only bring them if they are very well behaved. Enjoy leisurely mornings with a warming cup of coffee by our log burner, or a summer’s evening in our beautiful garden, taking in the picturesque views of the Hope Valley.

All of our premium drinks have been selected with care, including 20 local gins from local producers White Peak Distillery and Hedgerow. We have 4 cask ales from Thornbridge, Abbeydale and Peak Ales Breweries and wines from award-winning merchant, John Hattersley. Our coffee is ethically and sustainably sourced by Roastology in Sheffield and all our organic teas are from Joe’s Tea.

Start your day the right way! Bringing all varieties of the most important daily meal to your plate. Go for the hearty full English or opt for a lighter option such as buckwheat pancakes with seasonal berries.

From 12pm Monday to Saturday, our main menu offers diversity for all needs and occasions. Indulge on a Saturday night with fillet steak and chocolate souffle or visit for convenience for soup and sausage & mash on a Monday. Our menu covers it all.

On a Sunday we pay homage to ‘the roast’ and don’t do it by halves. Sirloin of beef, loin of pork or roast chicken all accompanied with duck fat roasted potatoes, hearty Yorkshire puddings and proper rich red wine gravy. Vegetarian, vegan and other menu options are also available.

The Maynard’s family friendly restaurant welcomes children of all ages. Our menu provides all those treats of eating out but also incorporates healthy eating. We have even made the menu interactive to keep the little people entertained.

We’re as passionate about drinks as we are food. Our wine list has been carefully selected by Hattersley Wines from Bakewell. We hero fantastic local gins and soft drinks from Franklyn & Sons. Our local cask and draught range change frequently. Ask our friendly bar staff for their recommendations.
